Outgoing FFL Transfer — Dealer-Facilitated Private Sale Shipment
Sold your firearm privately to a buyer in another state? We handle the compliant transfer and shipment on your behalf. Southside Strategic will process all required documentation and ship directly to your buyer's local FFL — keeping your private sale fully legal from end to end. Currenty, we are not providing packing services. Customer is responsible for a bringing firearms in a ready to ship mode (box, bubble wrapped, & filler). We provide packing tape.
Pricing
- Transfer Fee: $50 (covers intake, FFL verification, bound book logging, and all required paperwork)
- Shipping: at cost + $10 handling (actual carrier rate quoted at drop-off based on destination and firearm weight)
- Packaging: included
Most customers pay $90–$130 total depending on destination and firearm size. Price above is just for the transfer. Shipping and handling will settled with a separate invoice.

How It Works
- Contact us to initiate the transfer and provide your buyer's FFL dealer information
- Bring your firearm to Southside Strategic for intake and inspection
- We verify the receiving FFL and coordinate directly with them
- We ship your firearm via a compliant carrier
- Your buyer takes possession through their local FFL once it arrives
What to Bring A valid, government-issued photo ID and your buyer's FFL dealer name, address, and contact information.
Important Notes
- Interstate private sales must be facilitated through a licensed FFL dealer — this service keeps you fully compliant with federal law
- Buyer is responsible for completing their Form 4473 and NICS check at the receiving FFL
- NFA/Title II items require ATF approval prior to any transfer — contact us before bringing in any suppressor, SBR, or other Title II item
- Southside Strategic does not facilitate sales to prohibited persons; seller represents that the transaction is lawful
